Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. plays a very important roll in the every day activities of Bortner Bros., Inc. ABC provides functions which support the construction industry throughout the area. For example, ABC provides educational support for apprenticeship programs in many fields such as plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC, electrical, etc. ABC also provides training courses in construction safety as well as emergency first aid and CPR training.
There are many other functions ABC provides to support the construction industry. This is why Larry Bortner unselfishly supports the ABC. In the past, he has served two years on the Legislative Committee, three years on the General Contractor / Subcontractor Council, one each as Third Vice President, Second Vice President, First Vice President and 1997 President. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Electrical / Mechanical Council.
| One of the most prestigious accomplishments of Bortner Bros., Inc. was when ABC presented Larry Bortner with the 1997 Specialty Contractor of the Year Award. This is just one of the many examples of excellence which Bortner Bros., Inc. strives to provide for their customers. |
